Oaxacan Tequila Old Fashioned

A veritable classic made for fine tequilas, this drink was made to honor Oaxaca as the gastronomical capital of Mexico. Though more traditionally known for their Mezcal, this reposado tequila cocktail has the complex breadth and savory depth of flavor that the region is known for.

OAXACAN TEQUILA OLD FASHIONED

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. (60ml) PaQuí Reposado Tequila
  • 1 Bar Spoon Simple Sugar or Agave Nectar
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Ice
  • Orange Peel

Preparation

  1. Stir all ingredients with ice and shake vigorously in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Strain over a large ice cube in a small rocks glass.
  3. Garnish with a long orange peel.
  4. Drink and be happy.
