Tequila Aged Perfectly
Creating premium tequila aged perfectly is no easy task. PaQuí tequila starts this process well before we pour our luxury tequila into the aging barrel. First, we source and select the finest quality blue weber agave from the hills of Jalisco, picked at the perfect harvesting time by master agave growers. At our distillery, the blue weber agave is then put through our rigorous, time-tested, and perfected selective distillation process in small batches by hand. This selective distillation process was designed by our Master Distiller and handed down to our distillation team. The agave is first steamed in stainless steel autoclaves to prevent any impurities from mixing with the agave and to release the complex notes and flavors hidden inside. Once the agave is steamed, it is then juiced and mixed with the finest quality wine yeast. We continue the process in stainless-steel fermentation tanks for five days, once again to preserve the unique blue weber agave flavor without contamination. While our Silvera tequila is bottled right after fermentation, our other styles are aged in the appropriate barrels hand-selected by our distillation crew to impart particular notes, aromas, and flavor profiles to each style, whether Reposado or Añejo.

Why Is Tequila Aged?
While silver, or Blanco, tequila, like our classic Silvera, is not tequila aged in oak barrels, but rather bottled immediately after the fermentation process, our other premium tequilas are aged in hand-chosen oak barrels, for as long as needed to produce the unique flavor profiles of our Reposado and Añejo premium aged tequila. - Reposado: Lightly aged in oak, our Reposado is a balance of fruit, florals, and spicy flavors. Earthy tones with a touch of clove, mint, and bay leaf add complexity. The smooth tequila finishes clean and crisp with a delicate finesse. The oak influence is light and tempers the agave without masking it.
- Añejo: Gentle agave notes are complemented by oaky tannins in this rich Añejo premium tequila aged in oak barrels. It boasts a silky and rich flavor profile with vanilla and butterscotch tones and finishes with a little sweetness and lingering oak.
